Babiators wanted to create glasses that looked cool but also protected your children's eyes when using digital screens, so they recently welcomed Screen Savers to the Babiators crew and they’re pretty cool little things. They are designed to block 55% of the Blue Light that is emitted from digital devices through the category 1 lenses. This will help reduce eye strain, tired eyes and help prevent sleepless nights. We love them, but wanted to put them to the proper test. We recently got some families to test out our new Screen Savers with their tech loving children to see what they made of them.

I was kindly sent a pair of Babiators Screen Savers blue light block sunglasses for my 10 year old son to try. As many children, he enjoys gaming with his friends and consequently spends a fair amount of time looking at a screen. It does concern me the effect it may have on his eyes from looking at a bright screen for periods of time. I was therefore very keen to try these out. I wasn’t even aware there was such a thing!
The glasses arrived in a strong cardboard box. They have matt black/grey frames with a yellow tinted lense, so great for a boy. My son loved the look of them, and they fitted him really well. He finds them very comfortable to wear. The tinted lense dulls the brightness and blocks out the glare of the screen which puts less strain on his eyes.
He is more than happy to wear them, and I would definitely recommend them to those children that enjoy their screen time.

These glasses are magic! Not only does she want to wear them because they look cool, but they are also improving her sleep routine with no issues going to bed. I was amazed how noticeable the improvement was, less headaches and not as hyperactive in the evenings now.
As Ava has been spending so much more time over the past year being home schooled, most of her classes have been online. I was worried about all of the extra screen time she would be having so these glasses have been a lifesaver in protecting her eyes from harmful blue light.
In a darker room you can really see the glasses working, blocking the blue light. Ava says they are comfortable and is happy wearing them for a whole day of school work. The colour is bright and fun for kids and the Navigator shape looks so cool on. Highly recommend!

The Blue Navigators fit Louie perfectly, he even asks for them before he starts watching TV, going on the iPad or playing a game.
He now thinks they make him better at games on the playstation which I guess is a plus in keeping them on!
As Louie is only 4, the Lost + Found guarantee comes in really handy - if he loses or breaks them which is just a usual occurrence for him, Babiators will send us a new pair for free.
These glasses have really put my mind at ease knowing his eyes are protected whilst on screens.

I knew kids’ eyes are far more sensitive than adults and if mine were being effected by overexposure to blue light, then I was worried about the damage it could be doing to the boys.
When I come across Babiators, I saw they had the highest percentage of blue light filtering in comparison to other brands and they also had a guarantee that ensured if the boys lost or broke them they would replace them for free.
After a few weeks of testing, their eyes don’t seem so strained and there is much less complaining of headaches. Both boys (8 and 6) love their glasses. They are big fans of the way they look, on and off.
A success all round!

It has always been a worry of mine how much damage my children's eyes are getting from all their digital devices. It's hard work to get them off their devices these days, especially recently with all the home learning they have been doing.
So when I heard about these new Screen Savers from Babiators I was excited to give them a go. Just knowing that whilst they are using their ipads or watching TV that these glasses are working their magic to block 55% of the blue light exposure gives me peace of mind.
Plus they look great too, the children love wearing them which helps keeps them on! I also love that they are made to be durable and tough to withstand all the bumps and bends that they will inevitably go through.
They are a firm favourite in our house and the children have started to wear them without me needing to remind them which is great!

We love our Babiators! Both the kids wear them when they get some iPad screen time and during lockdown that’s been more often - even on movie nights. They are also easy to clean when little ones get their finger prints on them!
