Parent Tester - Jess Barrett

The chair arrived so quickly! And my son loved climbing all over the box (didn’t want to put it up before he went to bed, making furniture plus a “helping” toddler - a challenge this pregnant woman did not want to attempt!)

The product was very securely wrapped yet easy to remove from the box, bearing in mind I’m 8 months pregnant! Instructions were really clear, a little confusion on the way the bars go across the legs, but that’s more my skills at making furniture than poor direction! It probably took me about 30mins to put together and I have to say I’ve been sat in it since it’s been made! I never want to get out of it, it’s so comfy.

Firstly, it’s absolutely beautiful. The design and colour is stunning and fits in with my home décor and other furniture perfectly. It’s incredibly comfortable, especially for my sore back at the moment. I can imagine it will be just as comfy holding/feeding little baby when he arrives. I can’t wait to test it out whilst feeding my little one when he arrives, I can imagine many hours happily spent feeding and rocking on this chair coming very soon.

Ever since we’ve got the seat it’s been the only one that is comfortable enough for me to sit in with me being 35 weeks pregnant. It’s very supportive of my back and is a good height to get up from once sat down. My little boy loves sitting and rocking on it whilst watching TV before he goes to bed. I really can’t fault it and even when I have finished using it as a feeding chair, I know it will stay in my living area as a gorgeous rocking chair for the whole family to use for years to come.

Parent Tester 2 - Georgia Mountain

The Gaia rocking chair arrived very well packaged with padding to make sure no parts were damaged during transit. Once I got it out the box and started to assemble, I found it was so easy to put together, so much so it only took me around 15 minutes. I couldn’t wait to test it out! It looks so comfy and very stylish.

Once it was all put together it looked lovely. Looks wise is it is completely on point, simple yet so unique. This being said, it is important to note that it is a very large chair and would only fit in a certain size nursery/bedroom so make sure you check out the measurements and sizing before purchasing to make sure it will fit in your desired space. I think it’s a little larger than other rocking chairs I have seen.

I couldn’t wait to sit in it and fully test it out as a rocking chair. Comfort wise the Gaia rocking chair is heavenly, it supported in the right places with an extra back cushion for support making it extra comfy.

I do love this rocking chair however, the only problem we had I couldn’t put my feet on the ground to rock it. Without being able to put my feet on the floor this did effect how easy was to actually rock myself in the rocking chair. I know Gaia do sell a matching footstool separately which could help solve this issue as you could put your feet on that and rock that way. Without the footstool I think rocking would not be sustainable as you would have to rock your whole body to get the motion.

I would recommend this chair, however do take note of it’s size before ordering as it is quite large and also I do suggest looking into possibly purchasing the matching footstool too to make rocking easier.
