Back is best! So Zayn has been swaddled since birth and loves it, so of course we had to try out the Halo sleepsack swaddle. It has 3 different ways of use, (the only 3 way swaddle might I add!) arms in, hands-to-face or with arms out. I’ve always been wary of blankets at bedtime so this is the perfect alternative. The arms in approach also prevents any startle reflexes.
I love the signature ‘Back is Best’ embroidery. It adds a lovely little touch and of course a gentle reminder to parents when I comes to bedtime.
The swaddle comes in two neutral colours, Grey and White, which means it is the perfect item to pack in your hospital bag if you do not know the gender of your baby.
It is soft, well made and true to size - it comes in sizes 0-3 and 3-6 months. The swaddle sleepsack comes in a 1.5 tog which is perfect for our room. It is a lightweight swaddle, yet keeps my boy nice and cosy. The roomy sack design promotes healthy hip development, which is always a must! The inverted zip also makes it so much easier to change your little one at night! Without all the hassle of taking their whole outfit off - we all know how hard that is!
I love the Halo sleepsack swaddle and Zayn does too. It arrived beautifully packaged, with eco-friendly packaging. I’d definitely recommend it to any mummy or daddy’s to be!

The Halo SleepSack Swaddle was delivered really quickly and was packaged in a beautiful recyclable paper bag. The sleepsack was in a box with full instructions and details about the product written on the back which was handy to read before I opened it.
It arrived in grey and 3-6 months which is exactly what I expected and it looked just long enough to fit my long 4 month old baby in.
We used it for the first time after a bath, he always cries when getting out of the bath so after a nappy change and a new vest, I popped him in the sleepsack and swaddled him up. He instantly started to relax and smile. He fell asleep within 30 seconds in his Moses basket without me needing to hold him.
He only had a short sleep and woke up again so I to settled him again in the sleepsack with his arms out for the rest of the night which I think he prefers as he’s not used to being swaddled anymore now he’s bigger and can roll over.
The sleepsack swaddle is high quality but thin and stretchy, so won’t cause baby to overheat while swaddled. But due to being thin, baby should be dressed accordingly to the temperature underneath the sleepsack.
I don’t think it is something I will use every night as I feel it’s more suited to newborns and Ollie is nearly 5 months old and very active, but I will use it for when he is fighting sleep or if I need him to sleep earlier as he’s a night owl.
The sleepsack swaddle really helped him calm down and drift off when he was crying so I think he must feel safe and secure when swaddled up right just like a cuddle.

The Halo sleepsack has been the perfect sleep swaddle for my 5 month old baby.
It allows him to self soothe as well as wriggle around with plenty of room to spare. I would say the sleep sack is a high-quality piece which washes well. I found the product very easy to use - the easy to follow instructions on the inside of the wrap really helped too!
A few of my pros for the halo sleepsack are-
It zips up from the top - this stops the zip from poking your baby. It also comes in handy when changing as you do not have to remove the sleepsack fully.
I love the 3 different stages - swaddle, self soothe and hands free. These allow you to be able to help your baby sleep in the best way they feel comfortable. My baby tried all the above, but I do feel that he sleeps better when he can self soothe - this is when his arms are tucked in but his hands are still free- allowing him to suckle on them if needs be. So the sleepsack was perfect as it allows him to be in his favourite position for sleep.
The Velcro wrap makes it easy to remove the sleepsack and to wrap around your baby. Much easier than buttons or zips.
There is plenty of room for my little one to wriggle. I got the size 3-6 months but I feel that this sleepsack could last a while longer. My baby is now 5 months but has plenty of room to spare in the sleepsack.
Overall, I would recommend this sleep swaddle to a friend - I have used a few different sleepsacks but this one is definitely a favourite!
The only con I have with this product is that it doesn’t look the neatest on the baby - it’s also not the easiest to fold - I like to lay the sleepsack on the side of my baby’s bedside crib when not in use but this sleepsack isn’t the easiest to do so but apart from that I love everything about it and I will carry on using this product until my little one is too big for it!

The halo sleep sack swaddle arrived quickly and in the NBS eco-friendly paper bag package (it’s always nice to get packages in the post that can be fully recycled!)
My daughter has been swaddled in other swaddle type bags since birth so when I came across the only 3 way baby swaddle the HALO SleepSack swaddle I knew I needed to give it a go.
This swaddle gives you 3 different swaddling options - arms in, hands to face or hands out.
I liked that this product provided a few options, because as a new mum I was still working out what was best for my daughters sleep and it was a product she could grow with and in to. Rather than it being one use and she grow out of it very quickly - which I have found with a lot of baby products!
I chose the neutral grey colour the material is a lovely soft cotton. There is also a really handy dual zip, so you can zip up from the bottom which makes night time nappy changes so much easier!
I would really recommend this product to other parents as it really is a 3 in 1 product. When I started using it my daughter was 3 months old and would have her hands swaddled in to her chest, after a few weeks we swaddled her differently so she could have her hands to her face and start to learn to self soothe (she sucks her thumb) and now at 5 months she has her hands free incase she rolls over! She really has grown with the product over the past few months.
I have washed it a lot - as babies are messy and the material is still in great condition. But I am glad I chose the grey option rather than white as I don’t think that would be the most practical option for a small baby.
I honestly can’t recommend this product enough it’s now always a part of our nap and bedtime routine. My daughter is a very wriggly baby but the soft fabric of the HALO replicates that of being in the womb so when she’s swaddled she is so much more settled and seems to go down easier and maybe even sleep a little longer!
When you become a parent sleep is a pretty hot topic and so anything that might help you catch a few extra z’s is worth a try, right?

I received the Halo sleep sack very quickly after the order was placed which was great as I was desperate to try it out!
First of all, I am impressed that the sleep sack comes in the size 3-6 months as most products of this type only go up to 3 months. There is definitely room for growth with the Sleepsack and it would suit a lot of different shapes and sizes of baby due to the length of the wrapover sections.
Using as a swaddle (arms in) I noticed an improvement in my babies daytime naps pretty much straight away - he would let me put him down and was sleeping for longer! I like that he can be arms free too especially when it comes to feeding.
Another key feature which I found really handy is the zip function which allows easy access to change nappies without disturbing the arms from their swaddled state! Anything that makes life easier is a winner!
I feel it would be better if the Sleepsack came in different togs as I found the material thinner than I'd have liked. This does not mean the Sleepsack isn't robust because it is, it's just maybe not as winter-friendly as I'd have liked.
Overall I am pleased with this product and so is my baby - he has more restful naps during the day than he did before. I'm glad that I can use this product to help transition to not using a swaddle by having arms in, arms up, and eventually arms out. Maybe even one arm in one arm our if I have to!
My baby wasn't quite ready to give up swaddles at 3 months so the Halo Sleepsack has been a blessing for that reason!

This is definitely something I wish I had bought before I had Oscar because I wanted to swaddle but was nervous about using blankets. So this would have been ideal for us! However we still use this and love it because you have the option to wrap it around his stomach and leave his arms out. I think he prefers this sack to the baggy ones because he feels more wrapped up and cosy! The material is lovely and soft and washes really well.
