We have been trying out the Hoppstar Artist Digital Camera and absolutely love it! One week in, my five-year-old, Eddie, is now an enthusiastic photographer, taking photos of all the things that are important to him, like ducks, his toys and his little brother.

The camera is super easy to use and has an adjustable lanyard for little ones to wear the camera around their neck, minimising the risk of dropping and breaking. That being said, the casing is a soft silicone, so I think the camera could probably withstand an accidental drop (or 2!)

We didn't read the instructions - just jumped right in and worked it out as we went. It was really simple to use, with little icons on each of the buttons so you can work out what does what. The printer is straight-forward too - you just pop the paper in and you're good to go!

We love the frames – they’re super fun! And the selfie function has been a hit too.

The camera came with 3 rolls of printing paper – 2 regular and 1 peel and stick, which is Eddie’s favourite as he can stick them straight on to his locker. There’s enough printing paper for 200+ photos, and a cable to transfer the photo and videos on to a laptop too, so you can keep a copy of all their creative work.

Up until now, Eddie has been using my phone to take photos, so I will very much enjoy him having his own camera and reclaiming mine! I think we'll have to order his little brother the Hoppstar Rookie for Christmas, as he's desperate to get his hands on one too.
