How to Use Your Elvie Breast Pump

Elvie Pump
The world-renowned Elvie Pump is the world’s first ever silent wearable breast pump. Elvie Pump makes it possible for mums to pump on their own terms – at home, work or out and about. Because of its small and lightweight design, it can work inside a standard nursing bra - making it truly hands-free.

The Elvie Pump is also smart. You can connect to the Elvie Pump app to monitor milk volume in real-time, track pumping history and control the pump remotely.
The pump has three modes: stimulation, expression and slow and gentle. Your Elvie pump will automatically switch from stimulation to expression mode when it detects let-down and will pause when it can sense that the bottle is full. The Elvie Pump can hold 5oz/150ml of milk.
How to use
- Unbox your Elvie Pump and then sterilise all washable components before first use. You can do this by boiling them in water for five minutes. The components can also be placed in the top shelf of a dishwasher.
- Once sterilised, rinse in cold water and then wash in warm water with a mild dishwashing soap. Wipe afterwards with a clean cloth. Clean the hub with a damp cloth but keep the electronic section dry.
- When you are ready to pump, put your product together (see how in the below video), then connect to the Elvie app on your phone so you can monitor your pumping session.
- Put your Elvie Pump in your nursing bra and secure it so it’s comfortable – then you’re ready to pump!
- Make sure to clean your pump after each use, it is suitable for microwave, steam or cold-water sterilising methods.
Elvie Stride
The Elvie Stride is a hands-free, hospital-grade electric breast pump. It is designed to liberate you from sockets and wires, so you are free to express yourself wherever you please. The Stride can also be set up for single or double pumping for maximum flexibility so you can take pumping in your stride.
Noise reduction technology and a small hospital-grade motor means that the Stride is powerful, yet ultra-quiet. Each cup also ways less than 150g per cup, which makes it lightweight and compact enough to fit comfortably in your nursing bra.
The Stride has ten intensity settings to choose from in both Stimulation and Expression modes so you can customise your pump to work for you and your milk supply. Each cup has 50z/150ml capacity.

Failure to keep your pump clean can lead to the growth of harmful bacteria that could put both you and your baby at risk. Elvie Curve
The Elvie Curve is a wearable, silicone breast pump made for simple, hands-free expression. It is designed to provide natural suction for low-effort and comfortability.
The Curve lets you gently express your milk when you let-down while you’re feeding or pumping on your other breast – or whenever they are feeling full. Made to fit the curve of your breast and lightweight enough to wear in your bra, the Curve is ideal for managing your milk supply while travelling or during day-to-day life.
Free from any fiddly parts, the Elvie Curve is easy to use and set up, you just simply press the silicone pouch to create natural suction. The Curve has capacity to hold 4oz/120ml of milk.
The Elvie Curve will need to be sterilised and cleaned before first use, and then daily after that. It is suitable for microwave, steam, or cold-water sterilisation. After every use you will need to wash it with warm soapy water and then rinse thoroughly, it can also be placed on the top shelf of a dishwasher.
Elvie Catch
The Elvie Catch features two slip-proof breast milk collection cups that are designed for total comfort and confidence. Keeping the Catch clean and sterile is easy as there are only two parts you need to worry about. Sterilise the Catch once a day using steam, microwave, or cold-water methods. You will need to sterilise it in boiling water for five minutes before the first time and then wash after every use with clean soapy water before thoroughly rinsing. It can also be placed on the top shelf of a dishwasher.
