When you have small children, you quickly realise that quick and easy is an essential with any baby product, as Lukas and Freya have each outgrown their double, the need for something more compact has arisen.

If like my family, you have an independent toddler and an infant that’s not ready for walking yet, a bulky double can get in the way and take up valuable boot space when you go out, so the need for something easy and compact is an issue that I know some of you will be relating to.

That’s where the Silvercross Jet 5 comes in, and Natural Baby Shower are the perfect stockists for this compact and light stroller.

It folds down easily into a carriable size and because it’s light it isn’t daunting to lift either; I can imagine this being a particularly useful feature if you’re going to the beach or need to quickly get from point a to point b when you’re out and don’t want to put baby back in the stroller yet.

What I personally appreciate the most about this stroller is the fact that it’s no fuss when getting Freya in it, the clasp easily snaps into place and she’s in and out of it in seconds; it lays back when she falls asleep, and the hood can be brought down enough so that the sun isn’t glaring in her eyes. I’m actually looking forward to taking it on holiday with us in August 2025.

Natural Baby Shower also make the shopping experience easy, showing you what’s in stock and how quickly it will be delivered, I found delivery to be so fast and there was no mess with packaging either as they didn’t waste cardboard or plastic and opted to leave it simply in the Silvercross packaging which was already small thanks to the stroller folding down so compact.

You are paying £345 for this stroller but the way I see it, you’re paying for quality and you’re paying for ease. I also don’t think you can put a price on convenience when it comes to having kids, the faster and easier something is the better.

Since having this stroller, we’ve used it for all sorts of outings and it’s been in all sorts of locations with us, my only critique is that the basket is really small and there’s a pole that divides it straight down the middle so it’s not always easy to put things underneath, but also in my opinion it’s a minor issue because nowadays there’s all sorts of accessories we can buy for pushchairs to make up for things like this such as hooks for carrying bags; you’ve just got to ask yourself would you rather have something heavier and bulkier which takes up more space or would you rather something lighter and more compact?

The Jet 5 also looks stylish and doesn’t over complicate things with the design; the seat lifts so baby can comfortably lie flat when they’re asleep and it’s easy to get baby cosy with the addition of a footmuff.

Overall, I genuinely rate the Jet 5. I think the pros outweigh the cons and it’s a great price point when you compare it to other similar strollers. Natural Baby Shower are the best stockist in my opinion, and you’re guaranteed fantastic customer service, quick delivery and an easy browsing experience.
