Parent Tester - Josie Murray
The Stokke Tripp Trapp is THE go to highchair for so many parents and having used ours for two months now I can totally understand why.
Not only does the Tripp Trapp look ultra stylish, it’s so so comfy and functional for my growing baby too. We chose grey and opted to purchase the baby set and highchair tray in white, this gives the chair a nice modern contrast and has saved my dining table from any excess mess! That being said, without the tray you can push the highchair right up to the dining table which is lovely during family meals, so baby feels like he is really joining in.
Our delivery from Natural Baby Shower arrived quickly, it was well packaged, and the highchair was very easy to put together. It took me under ten minutes to do, even with a 7 month old clinging to my leg! What I love most about the Tripp Trapp is that it can be configured in so many different heights and depths which means baby is always comfortable. Henry is tall and skinny so we were able to adjust the depth of the seat and lower the leg rest by using just an Allen key.
I particularly like the solid footplate as it seems a little unnatural to leave his little legs hanging which they did in our previous highchair. As he grows we can continue to adjust the highchair throughout his childhood, teens and beyond. In fact I know friends who still use their Tripp Trapp as an extra dining chair, easily taking the weight of an adult - perfect for big family get togethers (hopefully we can do that again soon...) and way cooler than the ‘vintage’ folding chairs that every household seems to acquire!
The smooth glossy finish makes the highchair super easy to clean and I just love how it fits with the decor of our kitchen too. The chic scandi design is so on trend yet timeless too. Another well thought out feature is the detachable gliders that attach to the base of the highchair giving it even more stability. Henry once threw himself back in a teething-fuelled rage and whilst my heart jumped out of my chest worried the chair might topple backwards it didn’t even budge which is a really important safety feature.
That being said, Henry is more than happy to sit in his highchair for hours - joining in family meals or playing whilst I cook so it must be comfy and all in all I highly recommend the Stokke Tripp Trapp.
It really is an investment that can take you from newborn (there’s an optional newborn attachment) to adult and because it’s so strong and sturdy I have no doubt that it really will last forever - buy well, buy once. Thank you Natural Baby Shower and Stokke! We love love love it!
Parent tester – Andreea Beston
I’m Andreea, mum of 4 years old Sophie and 7 months old Emily. We were incredibly lucky to be sent the Stokke Tripp Trapp highchair to test and it really exceeded my expectations.
The chair came neatly packaged. Upon opening the box, I was impressed to find out that all I needed to put the chair together was a small hex key that was provided and it did not take any longer than 10 minutes. It’s also incredibly easy to adjust should you need to change the height of the seat or foot plate.
Upon putting it together, both my 4 year old and 7 month old took turns testing it and they both loved it (so much so that I might just have to purchase a second one). We used it without a tray and I love that the little one can really join in and be part of the family meals. My oldest loved the foot plate and is a lot less wriggly at dinner times. She also uses it all the time now for drawing/painting and it is really helping her maintain a good posture as the height is so easily adjustable.
I love that the chair is so beautiful to look at and fits in so well with our modern decor. It comes in such a lovely range of colours that it’s almost impossible to choose from. We also purchased a cushion which is a lovely addition to this lovely piece of furniture.
I love the versatility of the Tripp Trapp with both my daughters being able to use it despite the age gap. We will be using the Tripp Trapp for many, many years to come as it is a welcome change from the plastic highchairs we’ve had before.
