The Wheat Knit Moses Basket from the Little Green Sheep arrived quickly, was well packaged and came in two separate boxes. The product was easy to assemble with straightforward instructions and minimal effort required. Included with the Moses basket is the Moses basket stand and the Little Green Sheep mattress.
I am very impressed with the ethos of this company and its commitment to using organic and natural materials. I tested the Moses basket in the shade linen. It is a beautiful earthy tone and is perfect for those who prefer more neutral tones in their home. The truffle colour emits a warm, cosy feel making it the perfect addition to our living room and for my baby's daytime naps. We had so many compliments on this which is testament to the high quality and contemporary feel of the product.
The liner of the Moses basket is made from organic natural cotton making it super soft and luxurious. In addition, the liner is easily removed and machine washable at 30 degrees. I was a little worried that machine washing the liner would affect its quality and softness, but it came out as good as new!
What I am most impressed with is the mattress which is included with the Moses basket. It screams quality, feels luxurious and most importantly is firm and supportive. The mattress is handmade, made with natural fibres and is completely free from harmful toxins. As a parent to a newborn baby, it is very reassuring knowing my baby has a safe, secure and comfortable place to sleep for the first few months.
I am very impressed with how sturdy and lightweight the Moses basket is. It is easy to move around the house, meaning I can keep an eye on baby at all times. This is in stark contrast to my bedside crib in my bedroom which also has a removable basket but is heavy, bulky and difficult to remove from its base. The Moses basket would also be perfect for travel, the handles make it easy to move around, it is light, and it comes with a folding stand. The folding stand is also great for space saving at home when not in use.
Overall, I am extremely impressed with this Moses basket and would recommend it to any expecting parents. It has style and substance, is of the highest quality and has made my life easier as a mum to a newborn and toddler. Most importantly it has given me peace of mind that my baby is sleeping in a safe, chemical free, and secure environment.
