TOMS - One for One Mission

Parents and children alike have fallen in love with TOMS laid back and stylish designs. Starting from a simple slip on shoe, soon became a fashionable portfolio of women’s, men’s and children styles with a difference.  If you’ve bought a pair of TOMS shoes for yourself or your little one, did you know you are helping underprivileged children around the world to also have a new pair of shoes?

TOMS is a shoe company like no other, for every pair of shoes they sell, they give another to a child in a developing country under a scheme they developed called One for One.

It all started when TOMS founder, Blake Mycoskie, travelled to Argentina in 2006 and witnessed the hardship faced by children being forced to grow up without shoes. Wanting to help, he created a business model where the core purpose was to improve people’s lives. 12 years later their vision, mission and passion are stronger than ever.

Thanks to you and your purchases, Natural Baby Shower has played a part in helping TOMS give away 86 million pairs of new shoes to children in need.

Since 2006, TOMS shoe giving has evolved to include different types of giving shoes based on feedback from their giving partners in the field, and they have helped create local jobs by producing shoes in countries where they give. All of TOMS shoes are given to children through humanitarian organisations that incorporate shoes into their community development programs.

Wanting to help as many people as possible TOMS do not want to stop there. What started as a simple idea has evolved and grown. Realising the potential to truly help others and serve more basic needs. The TOMS ethos was applied to other products and areas of need, including the launch of TOMS eye-wear in 2011 and TOMS Roasting co. in 2014. In keeping with the One for One promise, purchases of these products help improve the lives of people in need by helping restore sight and providing safe water.

You have contributed to helping TOMS give over 86,000,000 pairs of new shoes to children in need around the world. TOMS is in business to improve lives. With every product you purchase, TOMS will help a person in need. One for one.
